Basic Differences between Ninja Sword and Samurai Sword


The Ninja Sword and Samurai Sword are two different swords that were used by two different Japanese groups in ancient time. The Ninja Sword was possessed by the Ninjas, that was a tactical team of multi-skilled warriors. They were expert in using swords as well as martial arts to knock down their enemies. 
On the other hand, the Samurai people used samurai swords, and they were the higher members of ancient Japanese society. They were responsible for protecting the royal members of Japanese society at that time. Some of the other prevalent differences between NinjaSword and Samurai Sword are mentioned under.

Samurai Swords:

The samurai swords were of two types. One of them was Short Bladed, and another one was Long Bladed. The Short-Bladed swords were more common in use. The wielders of short-bladed samurai swords were strictly prohibited from leaving their swords in the battlegrounds.
On the other hand, carrying a short-bladed sword with themselves was considered as a sign of pride. Touching the blade with barehanded was a taboo at that time. Therefore, every samurai fighter cared for his blade more than that of himself. The short blade was like Wakazashi Sword.
As the samurai swords were for the higher members of ancient Japanese society, therefore, they were prepared carefully with elegant designs. The swords were made short-bladed and long-bladed. 
As carrying a samurai sword was a sign of pride for every samurai; therefore, its value was also very much high. These swords weren't like the ninja swords.
One of the most exciting facts about the samurai sword is, the soldier carrying a samurai sword was not allowed to ask a question about the sword's defects from sword forged person. Only their family members could ask a question on behalf of the soldier. 

Ninja Swords:

Ninja Swords were the ordinary weapons, possessed by Ninja People of ancient Japanese society. There were no moral and pride values attached to this sword; therefore, you can way that these were just simple tools.
The ninja swords were famous because of multiple things. First, it was effortless to use them because of their thin and long blade design. Second, the firm grip of handle allowed the ninjas to gain the upper hand in different wars.
Ninjas could abandon their swords during flights. If they think that they can win the fight without ninjas sword, then they left their swords. This thing tells us that there were no moral values of Ninjas attached to their swords. On the other hand, the Samurai People could use their swords only. As ninjas knew martial art skills, so, they preferred martial arts more than that of their swords. These are some of the differences between the Ninja Sword and Samurai Sword.
